Brian McNicoll begins his 16th season coaching select basketball in McLean and his 18th season overall with the program. His county select teams have won a championship, played in eight championship and made at least the county semifinals in 13 of those 16 years.  He also has coached four players during that time who were named Most Outstanding Player of their league.

Brian also coaches AAU with the Elevate Elite organization and led his AAU team to a national championship in 2019. In addition, he serves as the girls’ junior varsity coach at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. McNicoll, an avid golfer, hails from Louisiana and lives in Reston with his wife and two children.
