Tom Roth played locally at Good Counsel High School then in college at Shippensburg University where he led the team in scoring, and rebounding; and was named team M.V.P. Tom has coached grades 1 through 8 in Arlington County, for MYB and in Montgomery County, Maryland. In addition to coaching, Tom has run camps/clinics and trained various middle school and high school student-athletes throughout the DMV. His coaching style is all positive. He believes in learning fundamentals first and building team chemistry.

Focuses include teamwork, dribbling with your head up, making the extra pass, help side defense, quick transitions, pick-and-rolls, passing and cutting, spacing on offense, screening away from the ball, and proper shooting form Tom resides in McLean with his wife and 2 daughters. Interests outside of coaching include playing basketball as often as possible, trail-running, spending time outside with family, driving children to various activities, and participating in anything sport-related.
